The regions of Leonida
GTA 6 is set in Leonida, Rockstar's fictional version of Florida. Here is what we know about each area so far.
- Vice City
- The main city on the southeast coast, inspired by Miami: beaches, high-rises, nightlife and a major port.
- Leonida Keys
- An island chain off the southern tip, connected by long bridges, based on the Florida Keys.
- Grassrivers
- Huge wetlands full of sawgrass, mangroves and alligators, modelled on the Everglades.
- Port Gellhorn
- Leonida's forgotten coast: a run-down Gulf Coast town in the northwest, echoing Panama City and the Florida Panhandle.
- Ambrosia
- An inland town beside Lake Leonida, built around the Allied Crystal sugar refinery, like the farming towns near Lake Okeechobee.
- Mount Kalaga National Park
- The northern wilderness, with forests and trails for off-roading and hunting.

When does GTA 6 come out?
GTA 6 is scheduled for 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The countdown above counts to midnight in your time zone.
Is this the official GTA 6 map?
No. This is an unofficial fan project. Region names come from Rockstar's reveals; positions and shapes are estimates we'll refine once the game is out.
Has Rockstar released an official GTA 6 map?
Not yet. Rockstar hasn't published a map of Leonida. A map image from an older development build leaked in August 2026; we don't use leaked material to place pins.
How big is the GTA 6 map?
Rockstar hasn't published an official size. Early footage points to a map considerably larger than GTA 5's Los Santos and Blaine County, with several distinct regions. Fan estimates exist, but none are confirmed.
Where is GTA 6 set?
GTA 6 takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. Its main city is Vice City, a take on Miami, and the state also includes the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.
